2 months have past for my little sweetheart Mabelle. She is two months old now, I had no much time to update my blog about the process of giving birth due to confinement and the 1 month celebration. So let me bring you to what happen on 31/8. This is the day when Mabelle came to my life....
Before that day I was still with Cherin, Jyothi and Anis. We went to various places like expo, bugis and mustafa. That day I only felt that my back is a bit painful...Went back home quite late and fell asleep due to the tiredness....
Woke up the next day morning to watch Doraemon with hubby...suddenly felt that my back super painful....but I didn't really care as my stomach is not painful at all.... I didn't know that back pain is a symptom of giving birth. We ignore and went downstairs to ntuc to get some baby stuffs like shampoo, pampers and others as the due date is getting nearer.
The more I walk the more pain I feel....it's like my back gonna break into half.... I was afraid and didn't know what happen... Hubby was worried and asked me isit baby coming out? I still tell him but my stomach is not painful, I think should be okay.. Hubby ended calling his relatives and ask how is the feeling and how they know that they were in labour. I then felt a bit of water coming out and my pants is wet.... I was supposed to meet Cherin for lunch and go for Kuei lee party with the other girls...but the pain is scary like my back is breaking into half... Till I really cannot Tahan.. I then decided to go hospital and see how it goes... Hubby is also very scared and he didn't know what to do... He was supposed to go STGCC with his friends so he called to cancelled everything..
We try to find cab but it was a Saturday, every cab is either hired or busy... We waited for half an hour... I was really calling for help... I almost can't walk.. I called my Dad but he didn't answer..so Bee called his friends and see who could help to send me to hospital... Finally His friend Jason say he is coming to fetch us..So when he is on his way, we went back home to pack things, I took a set of baby clothes and my clothes..
After 15 minutes, Jason reached. I get in to the car without bending my head down and i knocked my head against it... So painful... We faster get in and he drives us to NUH... he is supposed to send his parents to lunch but he decided to help us... Really thankful and grateful to him..
In no time, we reached NUH Emergency department. We told the person about my condition and I was put on a wheelchair and send to the delivery suite. I was asked to lie down on the bed and they check everything for me. They say that it is already 5 cm and the baby is confirm coming out today... I was in pain my back super painful... In the whole process, my stomach is not painful at all... Damn weird, In dramas is always stomach pain means in labour why mine is back pain...LOL...
I keep press the button to call the nurse as the pain is unbearable.. The nurse was trying to help and ask me do I want any painkiller to help me... They have things like Laughing gas that will make you drowsy and also Epidural to relieve the pain but I heard that it has side effects so I decided to use the gas instead... The gas had no side effects..
The nurse say, if there is pain.. use the gas.. So I keep using when there is pain.. After a while, a doctor came in and told me it was 7 cm and I can start to push...
So I Push...Push...Push... I can feel my skin tearing... there is blood all over... The doctor asked me not to shout just breathe in and push so I did it like what she say.. it was like passing a super hard motion... I push super hard and i hold beebee hand real tight and push.. After pushing for 10 mins, the head is out... When the head is out, I have totally no stength... The doctor then tell me, we need the body to be out so just a push a little bit more so I push and use all my strength... the doctor say somemore... I really can't and I shouted... I cannot push already... so they managed to help me pulled the body out... Its finally out... I was sweating like hell and I feel like jelly all over... the baby is out, hubby was so happy... the doctor put the baby on top of my body...
But I already have no expression on my face... Hubby smile and say, it is out... Are you happy? I just nod my head... No strength to even talk... Then they proceed to clean the baby and weighted her... She is 3.01Kg.. Healthy and good.
My legs is shaking non stop, the doctor is because i use too much strength... So they help to clean the blood clots and the wound inside... This part is really painful.. I ouch quite a few times..
After cleaning... we have to stay in the room an hour to make sure that everything is okay... The time that Mabelle came out was 3 :37 pm.. My labour pain was 2 hours and I only push for 12 mins... Really proud of myself that I can give birth this fast for my first child...
A lot of my family and friends were waiting for me and baby... After an hour... we are out... I was on the wheelchair carrying baby on the hand... First time carrying a baby and its my own baby...so excited..
Everyone saw me and asked me how am I, they smile and were so happy... They followed me to my ward and they started to questioned me... LOL... I told its not painful, it's like passing motion... They all laughed... I told them the process is fast thats why not so painful... Different people different, some of them have super long hours of labour pain... But I am really lucky... =)
They talked to me and looked at Mabelle.. Thank you friends and family... Love you all... Thank you for waiting for us at the delivery suite.. I will never forget this moment. Really appreciate everyone..
Until 8, the visiting time is over, they left... So I close my eyes and rest ...Really delighted and blessed with so many people caring for us..
I have to stay in the hospital for 2 days with my baby.. Baby was healthy and she could go home with me together on 2/9.. so We went back home and there goes my confinement... Eating all the tonic and everything..
I sneak out a few times on my confinement period though they say I was supposed to stay at home... HAHA..
All this memorable and wonderful... Now... Mabelle is 2 months and I am going back to work real soon so I will cherish my time with her.. Seeing her grow everyday is the happiest thing in my life..
